Southstar Shuttles uplifts mountain bikers to the top of Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua so you can ride down hill all day on some of New Zealand’s best trails.  There are a variety of trails from cruisy Green trails like Corner’s Track to black diamond options such as the Taniwha National Downhill Track. Queen's Birthday Weekend

Queen's Birthday weekend is coming up - and we are operating Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9.30-3.30pm! 3D Multisport Event is on Sunday the 2nd, and they will be using Corners track from 10am - 1ish, so come down for a long weekend and get shuttling!!

Remember we are now in our winter schedule, which is Wednesday arvo shuttles from 3.30pm - dark, and also Saturday and Sunday from 9.30-3.30pm - enjoy!!

Soo, we've ha a pretty amazing Summer...but there always comes that date when the Daylight decides to leave us =( Because of this we have adjusted our timetable to suit, so below is the schedule from April 7th...

Wednesday arvo Shuttle from 3.30pm leaving Waipa
Saturday & Sunday Shuttles from 3.30-3.30pm.


Also with the April School Holiday's coming up - get your trip to Rotorua organised. Southstar will operate throughout the whole school holidays from Monday 22nd April - through to Friday the 3rd of May from 9.30-3.30, so get shuttling!!!!

Long weekend coming up peeps - and Southstar is operating every day of it!!! Pack up the bikes, and get crew down for a fun weekend!! Below are confirmed times for operating over the long weekend!!

Friday 29th - 9.30-3.30 2 Buses
Saturday 30th - 9.30-5.30 2-3 Buses
Sunday 31st - 9.30-5.30 2-3 Buses
Monday 1st - 9.30-3.30 2 Buses

Bike Festival Week!!

The first ever Rotorua Bike Festival is on from Feb 8th - Feb 17th!!! There are loads of fun / quirky / and amazing events up for offer throughout this week! http://www.rotoruabikefestival.com/

Southstar will be operating Monday - Friday from 9.30-3.30pm of Bike Festival Week! We will also operate Tuesday / Thursday twighlight shuttles from 5.30pm, with a special Ladies night on Wednesday the 13th ( check out our events page for more info on that).

There will be one public bus operating on Saturday the 16th of Feb ( other buses being used by DH Nationals).

On Sunday the 17th of Feb - there will be NO public shuttles - as all buses will be used for 2W / DH Nationals.

Southstar Operating on Waitangi Day

A Wednesday off work?!!? Weird.... why not go shuttling!! On Wednesday the 6th of Feb there will be 2 buses in the forest from 9.30-3.30pm, followed by Ladies Night starting at an earlier time than usual at 4.30pm!! Get out in the forest and enjoy your mid week day off!

The sun is shining, and the forest is cranking with people, the trails are mint, and the buses are in there!! Southstar is operating daily until the end of Jan ( Jan 25th)! Like Southstar on Facebook to view daily weather / operating updates!

Monday - Friday ( until 1st of Feb ) from 9.30-3.30 ( 1 bus)
Saturday 9.30-5.30pm ( 2-3buses)
Sunday 9.30-3.30pm ( 2-3 buses)
Tue / Thur Twighlight 5.30pm ( 1-2buses)
Wednesday Ladies Night 5.30pm ( 1 bus)

Longest Day Ride

On Friday the 21st of December Southstar Shuttles will be operting from 7am-9pm! This is all in support of  Arthrtis New Zealand. A number of different companies / recreational groups around the country are hoping on their bikes, and riding from sunrise to sunset! A dollar from each uplift will be given back to Arthritis New Zealand. For more infomation check out http://www.mfla.org.nz/longest-day-ride/ .

School Holiday & Twighlight Shuttles Starting Again!!

During the October School Holiday's ( Oct 1st-12th) Southstar Shuttles will be operating DAILY from 10-3pm, so get out there and make the most of your holidays, all you students and big kid's!!!

Twighight Shuttles will also be starting again from next Tuesday( 2nd Oct) onwards! This mean's the shuttle will be operating every Tuesday and Thursday evening, 5.30pm pick up from Waipa carpark - then heading into the forest!

All of the above is weather dependent, so check out facebook daily for updates!


Ladies Shuttle Evenings

During the summer months, Southstar Adventures run a weekly Ladies Shuttle Evening!!!! Meeting EVERY Wednesday, 5.30pm @ 8mile gate, and heading into the forest until 8.30ish ( or however long you want to be in there for).

This is a great evening out just for the Ladies, with no smelly, in a hurry boys there to annoy us!

The cost is $10 per evening, or you can buy a 12 x evening concession card for $100 ( Saving of $20).
