NEWS: The Southstar shuttle will
run not run this morning but will run this afternoon
Saturday 10th May due to the large amount of rain we
had yesterday and last night. The Met
Service are forecasting clearing in the afternoon
today and fine for the remainder of the weekend.
NEWS: THe shuttle school holiday
programme went and weill be doing it again next holidays.
NEWS ITEM 2: The shuttle will be
running all public holidays in 2008 (except X-mas &
Boxing Day), same times, pick-ups and prices. Remaining
Public Holidays: June 2nd Queens Birthday, Oct 27th
Labour Day.
NEWS ITEM 3: Current shuttle prices
are as follows: 1 run $10, 6 run anytime concession
card $30, Day Pass $50, 6 month pass $270

the shuttle for a month from Dec 27th 2008 right through
January 2009

Ride downhill all day with a shuttle
to the top - does that sound good? You bet it does.
The Southstar shuttle service operates
in Rotorua's Whakarewarewa Forest on Saturdays and Sundays
- every weekend. The morning and afternoon 3 hour shuttle
sessions initially pick riders and bikes up from Waipa
Carpark and drops them off at the top of Tawa Rd. From
here you can ride Hot X bun, National DH and Billy T
into Rollercoaster. Then during the session the pick-up
is at the corner of Pipeline & Hill Rd. The shuttle
runs up and down 6 times in each session.
There are 2 sessions per day. The
first leaves from Waipa Car Park at 9.30am, returning
at 12.30pm, after a half hour lunch break the second
session leaves at 1.00pm and runs through to 4.00pm.
6 run passes are available for $30. Alternatively if
you just want to do a couple of runs you can pay $10
per shuttle ride. A six month shuttle season passes
costs $270 valid from date of purchase.
You don't need to book, just turn

Southstar operates 1 week and 2 week mountain biking
tours through New Zealand. Our guides take you to the
best singletrack in the country, linking together trails
like only locals can. We shuttle between trailheads
in a van, with bikes safely housed on a 12 bike trailer
rack. These trips have set departure dates over the
summer, or you can request a custom trip with your choice
